My New View and Achievement Days

Our lovely neighbors came over to all the surrounding neighbors to ask if we would mind if they built a little game room over their garage. They told us all it was no big deal and we would hardly even notice. All of us assumed that the strict CCNR's applied to everyone, but boy were we wrong!!!! That thing started going up and we all freaked out as it has windows that over look all of our yards. Although we have a 2nd story, we had to put it near the street with no windows that looked into anyones yard. No more skinny dipping (haha)
Hannah and Olivia sporting the bubble look and making a huge mess!!!

At achievement days we played faith fear factor. Each task had a scripture that related to it. This one was the fruit of the tree of life. They bobbed for apples.

The girls were trying to find gummy worms in powdered sugar and then see who could eat them the fastest. I think they had fun and am sorry girls that I posted these so late.

Madison and Erin after they tried to bob for apples (much easier said than done).

Demolition!!!

Dana calls Olivia "the wrecking ball" and she truly is a curious little 2 year old. She fortunately did not cause this mess. Our pool has had problems from day 1. We finally found out that the gunite had bad sand in it (I guess all sand is not the same?). This caused the plaster to start cracking and leaks in the pool as well as a multitude of other problems. Olivia and Hannah were getting their last kicks in the pool while it was draining.
Jared and Hannah in what's left of the pool after two long days of jack hammering non-stop and concrete dust flying everywhere!!! It needs to be replastered. The kids have been having a great time playing in the empty pool.

Hannah got Mustang of the month for the character of being trustworthy.
Jared got Mustang of the month for being motivated in Science (yes something other than fire, guns, knifes and anything dangerous).

Hannah Turns 6 !!!!!

Hannah Diane was born 6 years ago today weighing 8 lbs. 6 oz. She was our first girl after 4 boys so it was hard to believe we were actually having her. I didn't believe she was a girl until I actually saw her for myself. She is so sweet and brings a different element to our family. For her b-day she wanted crab. Since it was Sunday and we couldn't go out like we usually do for birthdays, I told her we would go and find some crab to make at home. We found huge King Crab legs at Sam's club.
This was the remenants of Hannah's crab!!!! She chowed it down like everyone else. It was actually the first time I had ever made it (since I don't really like seafood) and there was nothing to it since you just steam it for a few minutes. The legs were so big that the meat was easy to get out.
The Princess cake I made (with the help of Sam's club). I did put the princess on top and lit the candles.
Posing with the brothers and screaming baby sister she loves so much.
Hannah had a great birthday and it is hard to believe she is 6 and in 1st grade.

Our Baby Turns 2!!!!!

Olivia Jane was born 2 years ago today weighing 8 lbs. and 7 oz. It's hard to believe how time flies as it seems like yesterday!!! She is such a joy in our home and keeps everything lively all the time!!!! We love her and are so grateful for her. Olivia is a lot of fun (except for the occassional terrible two stuff). Boy you forget how much work 2 year olds are!!!

Olivia loves a lot of things, especially babies. She got a few for her birthday.
We had pizza and cupcakes before Jared's football game. The Seaneys and Tenneys came to celebrate with us.

Jonathan and the boys were able to fly up to Washington to attend the BYU vs. UW game last weekend. They also got to see grandparents up there as well which is always fun. The boys got to attend a fireside in Kent where they BYU players were which is of course HEAVEN for them!!!! Dennis Pitta and Austin Collie posed with the boys and their cousin MacKay.
My Dad and brother Bryan also went up for the game.
Bronco Mendenhall
Waiting for the game to begin at the University of Washington

1 EAGLE PROJECT DOWN, 3 TO GO

Jacob just fininshed his eagle project!!!!! Yea only three more boys to go. It's good incentive to fininsh when you know you can't drive until you have your eagle!!!! Jacob and 10 other boys from our ward are working on their eagles! Michael and Jared are always good to help and Jake's best buddy Mitchell all helped take the collected jackets and sweatshirts to the homeless shelter.

Olivia likes to help everyone do everything!!!

Jonathan, Jacob, Mitchell, and Logan Urmston are out knocking on doors today in support of Prop 8 to ammend the constitution so that same sex marriage is not allowed in the good old state of California. IT BETTER PASS!!!!!

A WEEKEND AT THE BEACH

Jonathan and I decided to celebrate our 17th anniversary this weekend at the beach for a romantic get away (haha) with all six kids. We actually had a great time and did escape for a few hours to go to the San Diego Temple and dinner. It was also kind of the end of the summer, darn you have to go back to school celebration (Not that I am counting.....one week from today....YAHOOO!!!! back to schedules, routines, and no more loafing around the house playing on the computer, X-Box, and watching TV !!!!
Michael taking a break from boogie boarding and inhaling all the snacks.
My brother Bryan lives down there so we got to see him and his cute family!!!
Jonathan's brother Ben, cousin Robbie and Jared.
After spending a full day at the beach, Hannah couldn't quite get through her dinner.
